The SMUC Management Development Center, Faculty of Business, offers consultancy and training services, with reasonable fees, to public institutions.  Such services are largely rendered by the Faculty of Business. Among the beneficiary institutions were the Ethiopian Roads Transport Authority, Akaki Spare Parts and Hand Tools Factory, and Timret Lehiwot Association (a local NGO). The areas of training include Integrated Performance Management, Performance Audit, and Supervisory Management.
